Mt. Moriah Y. W. A. and Junior Women The Young Women Auxiliary (YWA) is a group of women ages
17-25 years old- and the Junior Women is a group of women 25-35 years old. The purpose of this organization is to bind together
young women who are interested in the study and support of missions locally and
abroad. We would like to encourage young women to grow in the knowledge of
mission work and to develop a spirit of love and goodwill towards mankind. The auxiliary would provide opportunities for leadership
and spiritual growth. Special appeals are made to college students, career
women, and all within this age range to become involved in the work of the
church. We hold our meetings every first Saturday of the month
at 10:00 a.m. The activities are monthly Bible Study, coordinating mission
programs and overseeing the church nursery ministry. The group is also
responsible for the Black History festivities for the month of February,
archiving historical information in the church library, mentoring girls ages
8-16, and providing tutoring and youth Bible study classes every Thursday
evening at 6:30 p.m.
